Meet The Team
MCAG Board of Trustees
Jon has been a resident of Menstrie with his family since 2004 with three children having attended the local school. A Board member of MCAG since its inception he has worked with many other volunteers to help ensure that Our Dumyat Centre remained open for local community use. Having attended many functions and activities in Centre he is keen to see it deliver further to retain its focus as the hub and beating heart of the village life with the building upgraded and activities expanded to enable even more of our community to be supported.
Theresa has recently retired from a career in the NHS and is now concentrating on her family, her new house and her garden. Having been a member of the Board from the inception of MCAG, Theresa is grateful for the community support that enabled us to retain the Dumyat Centre for Community use, and is now ambitious for the opportunities that are ahead.
Originally from Yorkshire, Penny moved to Scotland in 1999 when she married Andrew and became stepmum to his three children and will soon welcome their second grandchild.
Penny has over three decades of working in a finance role, the last two within the third sector. She retired in 2021 but after 18 months decided she wasn’t quite ready yet and returned to the workforce part-time doing admin and finance for a local charity.
A keen family historian, Penny recently reunited with five sibling cousins that she hasn’t seen for over 45 years and decided it was time to retire for good to allow time for travelling and exploring these connections with family.
When she saw the post for Treasurer advertised, Penny felt this role would allow her to continue using her finance skills and still have time to explore other activities.

Louise has lived in the village for most of her life. She is passionate about communities being inclusive with no division.
Louise has already been a successful Rainbows Leader, which also included working with many people in a wider range of projects, and is now moving onto the new challenges of being part of this committee. She has worked with many communities in her former work in the library service, and currently works with children with additional needs on the school run.
Louise has some knowledge in many areas, and is willing to fill the spaces in between and focusing on the bigger picture, and is willing to assist with most tasks as they arise.
